Sweet Talking Tuesdays – Chef Doug McNish

Doug McNish (www.dougmcnish.com) is an Executive Vegan Chef living in Toronto Ontario.  His goal is to show people that healthy gourmet food can be a way to change one’s life.  Through dedication and hard work Doug has proven to be one of the world’s leading vegan chefs.  His first book Eat Raw, Eat Well, 400 Raw, Vegan and Gluten Free Recipes will be published in the Spring.

 

 1.       What is your favourite Sweets from the Earth product? And why?

My favorite product would be the Chocolate Walnut Brownie.  I love it not only because of the rich flavor but also because of the crisp outside texture and soft chewy middle.

2.       When do you indulge and eat your Sweets – Morning/Afternoon/Night?

I like to eat my sweets in the evening after a nice savory dinner.  I am a big believer in all things green vegetables and all things chocolate!

3.       Do you follow any special diets?

I am vegan and enjoy eating more raw during the warmer months.

4.       If you had to choose your last meal on Earth, what would it be?

My last meal would be simple.  It would consist of lots of organic steamed greens, lentils, crisp tempeh and avocado with a creamy tahini sauce over a big bowl of quinoa, with a side of perfectly cooked fries of course J

5.       What is on your nightstand?

On my night stand I have my ipad, my alarm clock, receipts and pictures of family/friends.
